EV charging for hotels

Guests increasingly choose where to stay by whether they can charge overnight. A charger in your car park puts your hotel in front of them at the moment they are booking.

Why it fits a hotel

An overnight stay is the ideal charging window. A 7kW charger adds around 30 miles of range an hour, so a car left plugged in from the evening is full by breakfast. Drivers plan longer journeys around where they can stop, and a hotel that can charge them is worth a detour and a booking.

Once your charger is live we add the hotel to the apps drivers use to find somewhere to plug in, including Zapmap, Google Maps and Apple Maps. Guests searching for accommodation with charging can now see you.

What EV Plus provides for hotels

We fund the chargers and handle the installation, so there is no capital cost to the hotel. Installs are carried out to BS 7671 and we carry £5 million of public liability insurance. We operate and maintain the units, and add bays as guest demand grows. Most hotels start with two to four charging bays.
