About EV Plus

EV Plus installs and operates electric vehicle chargers at customer-facing sites across the UK. We fund the equipment, carry out the installation and look after the chargers, so hosting one is low-risk for you.

EV Plus began with a simple aim: to help move the country away from fossil fuel, and to do it in a way that works commercially for the sites involved. The team brings together electric vehicle owners, business owners and marketers, so we understand both the infrastructure and how to make it pay for a host site.

EV Plus exists to improve the UK’s charging network and to give customer-facing businesses an affordable, low-risk way to add to it. Our research shows that on-site charging helps attract new customers.

Restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, gyms, leisure centres and retail parks can all benefit from the extra footfall, and from being listed on the charging apps drivers rely on, including Zapmap, Google Maps, Apple Maps and TomTom.

Standards and cover

Every installation is carried out in full compliance with BS 7671, the wiring regulations any UK electrician must work to, and the current codes of practice for electric vehicle charging equipment. The chargers themselves are CityEV units, which meet the required UK and European standards for smart charge points.

EV Plus carries £5 million of public liability insurance.

How the commercial side works

To keep it low-risk, we provide the charging units free of charge and fund the work. On some sites we agree a revenue-share partnership instead.

Drivers already seek out places where they can charge reliably. When your site is one of them, that is extra footfall and extra spend, and we promote your chargers so more drivers find you.
