Who we are
EV Plus Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 12929618, at 28 Forest Road, Meols, Wirral, Merseyside, CH47 6AX. You can contact us at info@evplus.co.uk or on 0203 745 8696.
What we collect
- Enquiry form. When you submit an enquiry we collect the details you provide: your name, company or site name, email address, and optionally your phone number, site postcode, type of site and message.
- Server logs. Our web server automatically records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site secure and running, and to detect abuse of the enquiry form.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used. It is set up in a privacy-preserving “consent mode”: it runs without cookies, stores no identifier in your browser and does not track you across sessions or other websites. It gives us aggregate figures only, such as which pages are viewed and where visitors arrive from. The data is processed on our behalf by Google; see the Google privacy policy.
- Cookies. This website does not use advertising cookies, and the analytics described above run without cookies. It may use a small number of strictly necessary items in your browser to make features work; these do not identify you.
How we use it and our lawful basis
We use your enquiry details to respond to you and to assess whether your site is suitable for an EV charger installation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We use server log data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and functioning.
We use analytics data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving how the site is used. Because the analytics run without cookies or any other access to your device, they do not require your consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, such as our website hosting provider, our email provider and our analytics provider (Google), and only so far as they need it to provide those services. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and then for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability, subject to the conditions in UK data protection law. To exercise any of these rights, email info@evplus.co.uk.
